I have a background in education and psychological therapies in later years. My work, whether landscape, portrait, or figure has a semi abstract, expressive voice. I try to capture the essence of a moment, situation, working with observational and emotional responses. I work in mixed media, combing the sensuality of paint with whatever materials feel appropriate in that moment. My work tends to be intuitive and organic, but builds on many years of study and love of art.
